I tried to separate the information found in Eileens drawing into a more coherent format. This allowed for a better understanding of E 1027 and Eileens design process.
This is how the drawing was originally constructed:
I decided to break the drawing down into areas and only show the related paths to these areas.
The main entry:
The guest area:
The dining area:
The master bedroom area:
Similar to these drawings, I divided up the path of the sun into separate drawings. This then shows how the rooms were specifically placed according to the path of the sun in relation to the building.
The sun during the morning:
The morning sun shines into the master bedroom allowing the inhabitants to wake up to the rising sun.
The sun during noon:
The sun at noon time shines into the office / working area, providing lots of natural sunlight during working hours.
The sun at sunset:
The evening sun shines into the dining and living area during the time the space is most often occupied.
